HEALTH SCREENER/TOUR MGR (NJ): Now hiring for FT position from 3/21 - 7/3 for 65-stop tour in Newark, NJ area. Provide health screenings, promotes wellness for our clients' employee population. New Jersey Phlebotomy Certification required, conversationally fluent in Spanish a plus.

Promerica Health is looking for a tour manager / lead biometric health screener to manage and work a 65 stop tour from 3/21/2018 to 7/3/2018 in the Newark, NJ region.This full-time position provides health screenings and promotes wellness for our clients' employee population.

Must be:

Comfortable driving a company provided van and transporting mobile screening setup to and from each tour stop as well as reporting necessary information
Willing to travel up to 4 hours outside of home market. Hotels will be provided for any locations outside a certain range.
Able to provide high quality, clinically compliant services to all participants
Conversationally fluent in Spanish

Supervisory Responsibility:

Oversee all other biometric screeners
Manage inventory of medical supplies
Oversee quality control program. (QA/QC)
Confirm all on-site compliance and communicates concerns to VP of Compliance, Promerica Health.

Skills/Knowledge/Competencies (Behaviors):

Ability to measure blood pressure (BP) utilizing an automatic blood pressure cuff, as well as utilizing a stethoscope and manual cuff when necessary
Ability to measure Body Composition with Omron Handheld BMI Analyzer in addition to measuring height, weight, waist circumference
Ability to perform point of care testing, utilizing fingerstick technique and an Alere Cholestech LDX Analyzer (HDL, LDL, Glucose and Total Cholesterol)
Oversee daily QC testing of Analyzers and manage on-site compliance
Must be willing to undergo certification and competency training on each of the analyzers used
Ability to perform all screening activities in a clinically compliant manner (including, but not limited to, policies & procedures and state/federal laws, OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA)
Ability to provide participant results in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
Ability to provide context of results. Ability to manage medical supply inventory and rotate inventory tracking expiration dates
Ability to adjust communication style for a wide variety of participants
Must be punctual
Ability to successfully manage a team
Ability to operate a passenger vehicle in accordance of all local and federal laws
Ability to pass a background check, including driving record
Must follow all policies, procedures, and instructions in the programs training manual and clinical standard operation procedure manual


New Jersey Phlebotomy Certification required
Previous health screening background strongly preferred
Previous experience in marketing and/or promotions preferred
Proficiency in English is required
Conversational fluency in Spanish is required
Work Environment:

Most screening events take place inside office buildings via a portable set up, where some set up and tear down is required. Additional events will take place aboard our mobile health screening vehicle, equipped with private screening stations.

Physical Demands:

The position requires frequent walking, standing and sitting, bending, talking, listening, reaching above shoulder level, reaching below waist, and repetitive hand/arm movements
Ability to lift, drag, or carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk up to 1 mile per day
Special Requirements:

New Jersey Phlebotomy Certification required
